NaimNet Room Amplifiers
The NaimNet Room Amplifier is the key to the extraordinary performance of a NaimNet system.
The Room Amplifier is a combination of cutting-edge digital engineering and proven high-end analogue amplifier techniques for which Naim is rightly famous.
Network playback of any of the streaming sources - Servers or Tuners - is easily selected from the user interface, or alternatively any one of 5 local inputs can be played. Two of the local inputs can be digital, and any sample rate can be accepted.
Whatever is selected as a local input is continuously streamed out to all other rooms for high quality remote playback - even if the local room is playing streams.
Control is by any of the DigiLinX interfaces, or simply by a web browser, as every Room Amplifier delivers a web page, which is always populated with the status of all other rooms and sources.
Connected HiFi
Reducing a multi-room system to its simplest: a couple of room amplifiers and source components (a server and tuner for example) introduces a new concept that is not possible with any other multi-room system. That concept is Connected HiFi. Quite simply two room amplifiers allow not only sharing of the common sources (the server and tuner) but also the sharing of the local inputs as well. Sound quality is assured as all analogue to digital (A-D) and digital to analogue (D-A) conversion is of the highest quality and transport on the network is bit-perfect.
