Naim Extended Music Database

Ease of use is key to the NaimNet system and finding your music is no exception. Searching for music in server-based systems has always been, until now, difficult as most systems catalogue CDs only at the album or disc level. While this works well for complete albums with simple artist data - a single artist or group for example - it does not work well for compilations where the album title may be nothing to do with the music on the individual tracks. It also fails in the case of multiple artists. Searching catalogues of classical music and also jazz can be particularly problematic for these reasons.

NaimNet Music Servers feature the Naim Extended Music Database, which works at both the album level and the track level. This means that compilations can be searched by track, and classical music can be searched by the work, the movement, the composer, the conductor, the orchestra, the soloists and so on. It is actually easier to find your music on a NaimNet Music Server than it is to find the music within a shelf full of CDs.
