Naim Network Scanning

Music downloads have changed the way music is purchased, and many homes have PCs that are used to download to iPod's and other portable devices.

With NaimNet, all of the downloaded music* available on the network can be accessed and played via the NaimNet Music Server, together with full searching and control, and display of the album cover art when available. The NaimNet Server maintains a constant watch on the network - looking for either new downloads, or machines added or taken away, and compiles an accurate list of all playable music available.

*Please note that music available on the network for scanning must be stored in a supported file format (NaimNet Servers can play WAV, MP3, AAC, FLAC and WMA) and must NOT contain any form of Digital Rights Management. For playback over a NaimNet multi-room system the supported formats are WAV and MP3, it is not possible to play back FLAC, AAC or WMA format files remotely.
